ITU ROV Team
The ITU ROV Team was established in 2016 under the Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. Its mission is to pioneer and produce state-of-the-art underwater vehicles and represent Turkey and Istanbul Technical University at domestic and international competitions using these vehicles. The ITU ROV Team is committed to contributing to the country's technology sector with the technologies it produces and, in doing so, showcasing its engineering skills on a global scale. While pursuing these goals, the ITU ROV Team aims to train engineers who are competent in their field, capable of teamwork, committed to lifelong learning, and able to lead technological advancements throughout their professional careers.
ITU AUV Team
ITU AUV Team started working on remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) under the ITU Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in 2016. In order to combine their 2-year experience in underwater robotics with autonomous technologies, the team was established as ITU AUV Team in 2018.
The ITU AUV Team, which has achieved great success in competitions it has participated in Turkey and abroad, has set its main goal as representing our country and our university in the best way possible in various AUV competitions to be held in Singapore, Italy and the United States.
ITU Greenship Project Team
ITU Greenship Project Team was established in 2022 within the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engıneerıng and is a project team that aims to participate in competitions and events with renewable energy support by creating electronic and software infrastructures that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

ITU Water Bike Team
We are a student group that studies naval architecture at ITU. We design and manufacture water bikes. We design the hull, the propeller and the propulsion system of our boats. We determine the material type and manufacture the pieces. This way, we gain experience about our profession during our time as a student.

ITU Hydros Team
The ITU Hydros Team was established for the first time in the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering for participating to Hydrocontest 2017 and aims to spread Hydros Foundation’s “enegy efficiency message” and represent our country and university in the best possible way by taking the place of the competition every year with innovative and intelligent solutions.
