The project titled Development of a novel hybrid spectral element–boundary element method for hydroelastic analysis of marine composites. to be led by Dr. M. Erden Yıldızdağ of the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program.

The project aims to develop a novel computational method capable of analyzing fluid–structure interactions in composite structures widely used in naval engineering with higher accuracy and enhanced computational efficiency. Assoc. Prof. Bekir Bediz and İhsan Selim Çoban will take part in the project as researchers. Supported by both numerical and experimental validation phases, the study is expected to provide significant contributions to the structural design, performance, and safety of composite marine vehicles, offering valuable outcomes for both academic and industrial applications.
